Getting connected with Krafted

Working with the team at product development and innovation company Brand Collective, Childs Brand Partners created the packaging, product styling and brand application for their new Connex product that recently launched under their Krafted brand.

The Connex cable adaptor hub addresses multiple pain points experienced by consumers in today’s gadget hungry world. Even though the industry is moving towards a one connector fits all approach with the introduction of USB-C, most consumers tend to own a variety of different types so the need to be able to have multiple connections is very viable and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. A lot of tech accessories tend to be packaged in rectangular boxes and unfortunately many still use plastics. Brand Collective were keen to push the boundaries with a sustainable solution and we came up with the concept of layering, much like the stacked elements of the product. With a strong unboxing experience the Connex product is fanned out to display each section and held in place by a particular layer within the stack of recycled corrugate board.

We balanced the rawness of the corrugate with a folded box board sleeve that frames the product and secures it in place.
